Judge bans Kountry Kennel from operating in Enterprise

ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WTVY) -- Coffee County Circuit Judge Sonny Reagan has issued a permanent injunction against Kountry Kennel at the request of the city of Enterprise.

Judge Reagan issued a temporary restraining order against the business last week. Following that ruling, business owner Donna Lindgren responded to the court order saying she would no longer operate her business.

Tuesday's ruling will keep Lindgren from changing her mind in the future.

The city of Enterprise received numerous complains about Lindgren's business which resulted in the police department launching an investigation.

In one case, one dog died after staying at the kennel, according to the dog's owner.

Police searched Lindgren's home as part of their investigation. Afterward, they requested the restraining order and charged Lindgren on animal cruelty charges.

During their search, police say they found numerous dogs living in unsanitary conditions including an emaciated German shepherd.

Lindgren did not appear at Tuesday's hearing and has declined to comment on the matter each time she has been contacted by WTVY.
