HOLMES COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Holmes County deputies responded to a burglary in the northeast part of the county October 5th.

"When deputies arrived, the victim disclosed that someone had broken into his house and stole his large gun safe, which weighed about 500 pounds," Holmes County Sheriff John Tate said.

Tate said the victim had several firearms and a large amount of cash inside the safe.

Investigators began interviewing several possible suspects, which led to the arrest of 51-year-old Billy Dreblow on Thursday.

"Prior to the burglary, he was living in Chipley in a rental house over there, a rental trailer," Tate said. "[We] basically started looking into him and seen where he had started spending large amounts of money."

Officials said Dreblow used cash to buy a home and two used cars in Geneva, Alabama.

In the home, Tate said investigators found several thousand dollars in cash and recently purchased merchandise.

"Different items that had receipts kept for them show the purchases were made after the burglary and approximately $25,000 worth of merchandise was purchased within a couple weeks," Tate said.

Sheriff's officials arrested two more people in connection with the burglary on Tuesday; Dreblow's wife Sheila Dreblow and his son Billy Dreblow, Jr.

All three suspects are being held in the Holmes County Jail.

Billy Dreblow Sr. is being charged with armed burglary, grand theft, dealing in stolen property, and possession of firearm by a convicted felon.
