Houston-Henry County District Attorney Doug Valeska is weighing in on the new entertainment complex.
The Attorney General’s office issued a statement about local amendments not legalizing bingo as a business or quote "much less for profit casinos."
The amendments only authorize churches and charities to use their own volunteers to run the traditional game of bingo.
But, Valeska says he's working with state officials to ensure its legality.
"The Attorney General has already indicated he does not believe they qualify under their charity exemption and the Attorney General is working with the DA as well as the Sheriff and they're opening up and then we'll have a determination in court," said Valeska.
