DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -- Southern Bone & Joint Specialists will host its 22nd annual charity golf tournament on Thursday, May 17th to benefit the Orthopedic Research and Education Foundation and other local charities.
The 22nd Annual Ronnie Randall Memorial Golf Tournament will be held at Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Highland Oaks in Dothan, Alabama on May 17, 2018. It will include a luncheon, an 18-hole scramble with special contests and awards, and a raffle drawing. Registration begins at 10:30am and a shotgun start is at 12 noon.
This tournament is held in memory of Dr. Ronnie Randall, an orthopaedic surgeon who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. He was a founding partner of Southern Bone & Joint Specialists, as well as a dear colleague and friend of the medical community.
Organized by Libby Mills RN, Director of Marketing at Southern Bone & Joint Specialists with the help of Marlene Harrell, Director of Human Resources and Dr. O.H. Chitwood III, tournament Chairman, this event raises money for donation to the Orthopedic Research and Education Foundation and for several charities in the Wiregrass area.
This rain-or-shine event has become one of the most anticipated golf tournaments of the year and the generosity of the participants and sponsors has allowed us to raise over $300,000 since its inception. This year’s Platinum sponsors are Flowers Hospital, Prim & Mendheim Attorneys at Law, the Pepi Companies, and Bevis, Eberhart, Browning, Walker and Stewart CPAs.
