Northside Methodist Academy baseball player commits to the next level

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -- A Northside Methodist Academy Raider is signing with a school in Georgia.

This afternoon Max Roland committed to playing baseball and studying at Thomas University in Thomasville.

The short stopper and second baseman was on the varsity team all four years in high school. Three of those years he was a starter.

Roland says his coach taught him a lot more than just how to play the game.

“All thanks to Coach Shuman. He taught me how to become a man and enjoy the game while I can and love it,” Roland said.

Roland was the only player in his class to play varsity all four years.
