MARIANNA The Chipola Indians baseball team stands atop of the baseball world yet again, winning their second NJCAA National Championship back in June. Friday night, decades of former players from to Jose Bautista Reynaldo Rivera come together as one team to celebrate this storied program.

"I'm going to be honest with you I've never experienced something like that," said Reynaldo Rivera who played right field on the 2017 National Title team. "You get your childhood stuff and all that but it never compares to what JUCO World Series is and that experience you get and get to do it with your best friends and your brotherhood that's unbelievable."

The expectations are high yet again for Chipola, they're ranked as the number one team in the NJCAA rankings, and on Friday afternoon they kicked off the regular season against Lurleen B. Wallace with an 11-9 win.
