In less than a month a big time event is returning to Dothan for the first time in 15 years as the NPC Body BE1 Classic come to town.
It is an event that will feature some of the top body builders in the nation for a shot at being named a champion. Event organizers were in the Circle City today at the new restaurant in town called Clean Eatz and are excited to have this event come back to Dothan.
The event will be held on Saturday July 21st at the Dothan Civic Center. Prejudging starts at 9 A.M. and the finals is at 6 P.M.
Those who are putting on the event say they are curious to see how the crowd is going to react to all the contestants.
Jim McCraney explains how excited he is for the competition to come back to the Circle city. "For me the year 2000 since I've been on that platform, so people are going to say that's Jim McCraney or are they going to say that's Jim McCraney....or some people are going to say...who's that? Anyway my idea is to come back say hello to the crowd. I am not dead, I am back lets get it on!"
Promoter Roland Huff says he is looking forward to the old memories Dothan brought hosting this tournament. "So just bringing those guys back jars some memories but most of all I just want to see the crowd as they enjoy these body's that look phenomenal."
