Work release inmates are out on the loose

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - Two men and a woman on work release in Houston County are on the loose, and officials are asking for your help to find the inmates.

Houston County Community Corrections says the three inmates "failed to comply with program standards,” meaning they didn't report for work, and no one knows where they are.

Willie Tyson, age 60, was serving time for possession of a controlled substance. He went missing on December 27th, 2017.

Thirty-three year old Brittany Nichole Russell was in jail on chemical endangerment of a child. She has been gone since November 2nd, 2017.

Justin Jarrard, age 21, convicted of third degree burglary has been missing since April 7th, 2018.

The HCCC wants people to know that these three aren't dangerous, which is why they were on work release.

Just a year ago, however, Roger Dale Hall left his work release program and carjacked a woman in Dothan.

Investigators say it's tough to track them down so they want your help.

"They're staying away from social media, and they may or not be in this area anymore,” said Chris Jerkins, HCCC probation officer/investigator. “That's why we want to get the word out to people that if they do happen to see them here, in Dothan, Houston County or any other city or town. They know to contact their local agency there."

Social media is something Houston County Community Corrections has been using 2015.

Facebook is their primary means for finding missing work-released inmates.

So far, they've have found 76 people. The three we've shown you are the only ones unaccounted for.

If you have information on the whereabouts of any of these people, contact Crimestoppers at (334) 793-7000 or hit the contact us button on the Houston County Community Correction's Facebook page.
