DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -- Following your dream and starting your own business was the focus at the Women's CEO Alliance lunch and learn at Windmill Station.

Women’s CEO Alliance Member and Guest Speaker Jennifer Horton said, “I believe we were all created with a purpose and sometimes it kind of gets lost in kind of everyday life, so sometimes a reminder to reach out and tap into that purpose to help us in our lives to fulfill our purpose in life."

Women from all over the Wiregrass came out to the event and for one woman who recently relocated from Panama City Beach, it was a great way to get connected in the community.

Women’s CEO Alliance member Crystal Akien said, "This would be a great platform and an opportunity for me when I speak to my future groups and meeting and seminars how to tell those stories and connect with my audience. I defiantly want to use all the tips she has to give me, my knowledge and put them both together and be successful. "

Guest speaker Jennifer Horton spoke about the journey to entrepreneurship, and how everyone's path may be different.

Jessica Whitehead attended the luncheon and said, "It's always good to connect with people in the Wiregrass you want to stay local and I just wanted to get some insight or influence to help me be successful like they are."

Every month Women's CEO Alliance tries to have members put on events and encourages all women to find their purpose and build their empire.
