UPDATE: Marianna armed robber suspect caught

Marianna police say they've caught the woman who robbed a Chevron on Saturday.

They say Emerald Meredith was arrested Tuesday after being identified as the suspect in the robbery. They say when they questioned Meredith, she confessed.

Meredith is charged with robbery with a weapon, grand theft, and petit theft.

Marianna Police say a woman carrying a semi-automatic handgun robbed a convenience store on Saturday.

Officials say a female suspect robbed the Chevron Food Mart at 2999 Jefferson Street. Reportedly she was able to get some money and flee the area.

Surveillance pictures show the suspect wearing a camouflage mask, black clothing, and green gloves. Marianna Police say the suspect is a light-skinned black or biracial woman.
