Coffee County (WTVY)-- A Coffee County woman faces marijuana charges after a search for her young daughter.

Cassandra Diane Smith reported the three year old missing Thursday.

A massive search in the area of County Road 205 began and included the use of a helicopter. Eventually, the girl emerged from a nearby wooded area.

Coffee County Chief Deputy Ronnie Whitworth said, during the search, deputies found a container filled with marijuana.

They charged Smith, who is 33, with possession of the illegal drug and placed her in the Coffee County Jail.

Whitworth said the Department of Human Resources took custody of Smith's daughter, described as doing well following the ordeal.
