Woman charged with trafficking almost a half million dollars worth of drugs
A woman faces drug trafficking charges involving almost a half million dollars worth of crystal methamphetamine.
Police arrested 31-year old Araceli Martinez-Zamora Wednesday after stopping her vehicle in Eufaula, her hometown.
A search of that car turned up about 7 kilograms of crystal meth with an estimated street value of $400,000.
Dothan and Eufaula police worked together during the investigation. More information regarding this case is expected later Thursday.
Last month, officers in Fort Walton Beach, Florida charged Martinez-Zamora with allowing a 14-year old girl to operate a motor vehicle.
Okaloosa County deputies stopped that car after observing it traveling more than twice the speed limit.
They charged Martinez-Zamora with three counts of child neglect and permitting an unlicensed minor to drive.
