Warm weather brings the return of mosquitoes
With the return of warmer weather comes the return of mosquitoes.
Mosquitoes can breed in very little water so with the recent rain it is important to make sure you don't have water pooled around your yard.
The best way to help prevent mosquito bites and the diseases they cause is to wear bug spray with deet.
If you want a more natural solution, you can wear long sleeves and clothes that cover up your skin.
You can also reduce bites by knowing when mosquitoes are more active.
Corey Kirkland, with The Alabama Department of Public Health, says "Also using different hours of the day, try to stay out of the garden or flowers first thing in the morning, before the sun comes up or just as the sun is coming up and late in the afternoon when it's starting to get dark when they'll be more active".
