Wiregrass begins Toys For Tots Workshops

The Dothan Area Young Professionals are hosting Toys For Tots “workshops” every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday until the 16th.

Volunteers work through lists compiled by area agencies. Based off those lists, bags are filled with toys ideal for each child.

2,600 children across Coffee, Dale, Geneva, Henry and Houston counties will be served this Christmas.

“Every child grows up and hears about Santa Claus, and hears that you get toys on Christmas morning," explained coordinator Laura Newell, "if your family can’t provide those, that would be awful for a child to wake up and not have anything under the tree, when they haven’t done anything wrong.”
