Holey Moley! That's the name of the golf tournament ladies from across the area participated in Tuesday morning.

It's the third annual competition which benefits the Wiregrass Area Food Bank.

The tournament is played as a scramble where each hole has its own rules of play.

Some are straight scramble while others have "add strokes" or "subtract strokes" based on things done on each hole.

"Number 10, which is a par 5, we don't even play that hole. There's a brown bag and there are a bunch of golf balls in it; it's a blind draw. If you draw the golden ball, your score is a one. You take that score and move on. You can even draw a three, four, or even a seven," said golf tournament chairman Becky Abraham.

But as the Food Bank's Assistant Director, Julie Gonzalez, explains, the real winner is those who need help. "It's a good time for everybody but ultimately the beneficiary is the Wiregrass Area Food Bank. We're going to benefit the most from this. We're so thankful that these ladies are out here today just playing golf and feeding the needy as well. We couldn't have asked for a better day than that."
