For almost 40 years the Wicksburg Volunteer Fire Department has been cooking Boston Butts in order to keep the station running. This year is no different.
They will be selling 1,000 pounds of meat on Saturday, December 8.
Each plate costs $9 and has about half a pound of meat, stew, rice or cole slaw, two pieces of bread and a piece of pounds cake
Fire Chief Wanda Adress says all the money is used in the community and it helps supplement the cost of running the fire and rescue station.
You can find them at Wicksburg High School cafeteria after the Christmas parade around 11 a.m. until they sell out.
If a business or group wants to be in the parade, call Wanda Andress at 334-389-4230.
