DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -- Wesley Place on Honeysuckle is taking a head start to keep its residents safe from the virus.

Wesley Place is in the process of stock-piling everything from personal protection like gloves and masks to food supplies.

The center is also implementing a new screening process.

Staff is checking temperatures and asking anyone who visits a series of questions to ensure they have not been exposed to potential sources of the coronavirus.

The policy applies to everyone including visitors, emergency personnel, staff, and vendors.

“Anyone with a fever or signs and symptoms of cold, cough, flu symptoms at all will be asked to leave our facility. At this point we are discouraging visitation all together from everyone,” says Wesley Place executive director Patrick Davies.

The staff is also going through extensive infection control training.
