Vice President Pence visiting Alabama for Space Council meeting

Huntsville, Ala. (NBC News Channel) -- Vice President Mike Pence will be in Huntsville, Alabama Tuesday to chair the fifth meeting of the National Space Council.

The event will take place at Huntsville Space and Rocket Center.

The focus will be on the President's plan to restore American leadership in space.

During the meeting, two panels consisting of former astronauts, scientists and a retired air force general are expected to deliver reports to Vice President Pence.
