U.S. veteran awarded the Korean Peace Medal

ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WTVY) - Wednesday is an especially memorable day for one Veteran in Enterprise.

U.S. veteran Joseph Kozlowski went into the military at 16 and left in 1958.

Wednesday morning, he was awarded the Korean Peace Medal.

The medal is an expression of appreciation from the Korean government to American service men and women who served in the Korean War.

Kozlowski was an original 11th Airborne Paratrooper.

The unit no longer exists.
