Ashford, Cowarts, Webb and Lovetown fire departments responded just after 6am to "8 M Truck & Diesel Repairing".

The shop's owner says his son noticed smoke coming from the shop's 3-bay garage when he went outside to warm up his truck Thursday morning.

"On arrival with the heavy black smoke showing and explosion inside, because it has hazardous materials in the mechanic shop, we did a defensive attack, got the fire knocked down and went to offensive attack and went inside and attacked and completely put the fire out,” said Ashford Fire Chief, Jimmy Posey.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
