Troy football announces spring practice schedule, sets T-Day date
Hold steady Troy fans, football is on the way. Wednesday, the athletics department announced the spring football practice schedule and the date for the T-Day spring game.
After a very busy offseason involving a head coaching change, the Troy Trojans will open spring practice March 19. A month later, the Trojans will host their annual T-Day game April 20 at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
“I’m really looking forward to getting out on the field and getting to know our players,” said new Troy head football coach Chip Lindsey. “We’ve been focused hard on closing out the recruiting class, and the staff has been on the road a lot since coming on board. We’ll have a month to prepare for spring practice and really evaluate our players on film before we get them on the field.”
Lindsey joins the Trojans after serving as Auburn’s offensive coordinator the last couple of seasons and had briefly been a part of Les Miles' coaching staff at Kansas before taking the head coaching position at Troy.
The Trojans are coming off a record-setting season. The Trojans made school history by amassing its third consecutive season of at least 10 wins.
A kick time for T-Day has not been announced.
