DOTHAN, AL (WTVY) -- Troy University's Dothan campus kicked up the holiday season with a friendly competition.

Tonight was its annual Festival of Trees open house. The event featured trees designed by each of the 16 departments.

Elizabeth Dill, the Director of Library services says the trees are a reflection of the personality of their respective departments.

She said "nursing may have stethescopes and thermometers on their trees, and um uh, communications may have typewriters and paintbrushes."

Visitors can vote for their favorite tree at Everett Hall through this Friday.
