BARBOUR COUNTY, Ala. (WTVY) -- After examining damage photos and radar data, it has been confirmed by storm survey team members that a tornado did occur near County Road 18 in Southeast Barbour County.
The tornado touched down just southwest of Bakerhill.
Several trees were uprooted and once the tornado crossed over Highway 131 it ripped vinyl siding off a family brick home and did slight damage to an out building.
The tornado stayed on the ground for 5.80 miles with a path width of 275 yards, till lifting just to the east of Five Mile Road over an open field.
The track ends just to the northeast of Bakerhill.
Winds were estimated to be around 88 mph.
