JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG) -- A crash in Jackson County Saturday night left three people dead.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Mazda, driven by Misael Gonzalez, 30, of Marianna, was traveling southbound on State Road 71 around 11:18 p.m. when the vehicle began to drift left into the northbound lane.

They say a Hyundai, driven by Dennis Hancock, 26, of Campbellton, was traveling northbound on State Road 71 when the vehicle took evasive action to the left to avoid the Mazda. Also in the car was Victoria Blighton, 26, of Marianna.

Troopers say the front of the Mazda collided with the front of the Hyundai. The Mazda then came to a stop facing eastward on SR-71, blocking the road. The Hyuandai came to a stop facing westward on the west shoulder.

They say all three people involved died at the scene.

It is unknown whether alcohol was a factor in any of the victims.
