DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - There's a new mural in town with a positive message behind it called the Butterfly Effect.
17-year-old Jada Talton left her mark on the side of The Ark in downtown Dothan.
"The butterfly effect is a perfect representation of what the program is about because it's about positive change,” said Talton.
The "Wahl2Wall" butterfly effect mural is popping up in cities all across the country and around the globe thanks to social media, and it also makes for a really cool photo!
The one thing that links them all together is the message on the wings, “be the change you want to see in the world." Talton says, like a butterfly, the ark is about transformation.
"Associating the butterfly with the ark since it's a rehabilitation center shows you can make changes and if you make mistakes, you can turn it around in a positive way,” added Talton.
Talton’s mother says her daughter is the youngest artist ever chosen for the project, but that doesn't matter to her. She takes pride in knowing that the mural shines light on the ark and the beauty of their mission.
The Wahl2Wall foundation will donate $1.00 to the Ark for every picture that is posted with the hash tags “Butterfly Effect” (#ButterflyEffect) and "The Ark Dothan" (#TheArkDothan). You can also text your photo to (858) 400-8272.
