Students meet with community helpers

DOTHAN, Al. (WTVY) - Some of Dothan's movers and shakers took time to Thursday to inspire a group of our young people.

Representatives from Dothan utilities, home oil company, and the city's police and fire departments were among those visiting preschoolers at Dothan city school's head start center.

Organizers say it exposes the children to various careers and the people who work in them.

"We are just having a good time letting these children see what our community has to offer," said Yolanda Vincent, Head Start Project Director.

This is their fifth year for the community helper rally.
