Students at Harrand Elementary School learn about weather
Meteorologist Zack Webster went out to Harrand Elementary School Friday morning to talk weather with two groups of students.
He talked to the students about the water cycle, trade winds, thunderstorms, tornadoes, hail, hurricanes, and flooding.
The students also got a basic look at what goes into making a weather forecast for the weather segments that are aired on TV every afternoon and evening.
They also asked a wide variety of interesting questions ranging from basic weather information all the way up to how a meteorologist sees what they are pointing to while they are in front of the green screen.
The talk is part of a lesson that the students have gotten for the last few weeks about weather and climate.
