Silent Heroes of the Wiregrass

Wiregrass Electric and WTVY have joined forces to try to recognize the unsung heroes in our area. WTVY and Wiregrass Electric Cooperative is proud to honor Ashley Thomas as a Silent Hero of the Wiregrass.

Ashley started the Frontier Girls program and Miss Angel Pageant more than 12 years ago.

Dana Weed that nominated Ashley says, "She gives and gives. She created a pageant that emphasizes community service. The Miss Angel Pageant here in Dothan. She also started the group Frontier Girls in Dothan for home schooled children. And it instills politeness, patriotism, being prepared and serving the community"
