In the city of Clanton, a roof was ripped off a building and thrown into the street.
The building houses a barbershop and several other shops.
Crews spent Monday (March 25) evening cleaning up the wreckage.
Several people who were on the scene described the incident as wind peeling the roof off like a can opener.
The director of Chilton County Emergency Management Agency, Derrick Wright, says straight-line winds are to blame for the damage.
Wright says a couple of windows were also blown out and some cars were hit after the roof blew off, but no one was injured.
