Semi-truck crash blocks Highway 52 for hours

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - All lanes have reopened on Highway 52 East after a semi-truck overturned Wednesday afternoon.

The truck carrying peanuts collided with an SUV near the Ross Clark Circle on-ramp.

It happened at around 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon.

The road was shut down for hours, as it took several different tow trucks to get the semi's trailer back on its wheels.

They had to be careful and move slowly due to a potentially dangerous diesel leak.

There were five people involved in the crash, but only one sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
