PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WTVY) -- The Seabreeze Jazz Festival which was to be held in Panama City Beach on April 22-26 has been canceled. The organizers say they plan to be back next year.

[ANNOUNCEMENT]

Hello Seabreeze Fans....

This decision was not made lightly.

Our top priority is the safety and health of our patrons, artists, guests, staff, vendors and community.

On Friday, March 13th... President Trump declared a National State of Emergency due to COVID-19 concerns.

Therefore in an abundance of caution, and in cooperation with Florida Governor Ron DeSantes’ directive to limit or postpone large gatherings.....The Seabreeze Jazz Festival, scheduled to take place April 22-26, 2020 in Panama City Beach, FL, will be postponed to April 21-25, 2021. The show will continue at the same venue at The Aaron Bessant Park Amphitheater.

The GOOD NEWS is ....we hope to present the same exciting 2020 lineup of artists and schedule — just jump it up a year later!

Hang on to your tickets and wristbands because all 2020 tickets, wristbands, and lanyards WILL BE HONORED for the same seating and events at the 2021 show. Wristbands purchased will continue to ship.

Should you not be able to attend the 2021 date, a full refund will be available. Instructions to follow by March 20th.

We hope you continue to support the Seabreeze Jazz Festival by holding your 2020 tickets ...and joining us for the 2021 Seabreeze Party set for the weekend of April 21st-25th 2021.

Please be patient in this unprecedented situation. We appreciate your understanding. It’s been a hard decision. Our goal is to maintain the best possible smooth jazz event, while maintaining our patron’s comfort and safety.

Never in a lifetime would anyone have thought something like a virus could turn the world upside down to this extent.

We encourage all to adhere to the CDC guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Here's the latest guidelines from the Center For Disease Control on how best to protect yourself and your family:
