DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -- The votes are in, and the judges have decided on the best scarecrows this year at the Dothan Area Botanical Gardens.
For 15 years now, schools, businesses, and individuals have been creating scarecrows based on a theme.

This year's theme is Classic Movies and TV.
There are 30 entries, including three schools: Highland Elementary, Northside Methodist Academy, and Houston Academy.
Seven winners were selected, each getting $100.

"Looking at some of these entries, you can tell people have put in a lot of time into developing these. A lot of our people that enter come every year. They really enjoy working together. A lot of businesses enter every year," said Dothan Area Botanical Gardens Executive Director William Holman.

This Sunday, from 2 until 4 pm, the public can vote on their favorites.
All of the scarecrows will remain on display throughout the month of October.
