DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -- Santa Claus is coming to town Friday and Saturday, December 6th & 7th for the annual downtown Dothan Christmas Festival.
Santa and his elves from the Patti Rutland Jazz Company will make an appearance in the walking parade starting at the Dothan Opera House at 10:15 AM.
The day also includes a free area with carnival rides, ziplines, caroling, and inflatables and you can also find Santa at Porter Park and tell him what you want for Christmas this year.
"Downtown, in general, is a great place to spend your day, you won't find a place that has a more beautiful atmosphere than Dothan Downtown does on a regular basis," said Jessica Parker, director of merchants and marketing for Dothan Downtown Redevelopment Authority.
"But we've really tried to up the game this year, we've got some great lights, great Christmas decorations that are going to be out. So it's really just a good day to come out and bring the family."
The festival starts at 10am and will end at 2pm.
