BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Bay County's very own Salvage Santa's workshop was burglarized this week, but that's not stopping Mike Jones from having a Merry Christmas.

Jones estimates around 25 bikes and hundreds of toys were stolen from his temporary workshop. He says the total of it all is more than $2,500, some of which came from his own pocket.

While he is devastated, he's staying positive as always, saying a little less than five months is more than enough time to prepare for Christmas.

"We're still gonna have Christmas. The hurricane didn't whoop us last year, I'm not gonna let these bad guys whoop me, that's for sure. I've got a lot of friends in Bay County and a lot of people know about our program, they'll come, they'll provide, we will be successful, I promise you," said Jones.

The stolen bikes are Kent brand and grey with red wheels. He asks that you keep an eye out and contact the Sheriff's Office if you see anyone selling bikes or toys.
