DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -- Crews began assembling attractions and rides at the fairgrounds Thursday afternoon.
A crew member checks an area of one of the NPF rides.
Approximately 55 rides will be featured at this year's fair.
While the crews are working quickly to make sure everything is set up for the opening day, safety is a priority.
A third party inspector will routinely check all rides and attractions throughout the duration of the Festival.
For assembly supervisor Jeff Alberts, there is nothing more important than safety.
“We teach safety to our men, and hopefully it’ll bleed over to everything they do in their daily operations," Alberts said. "We inspect every single day before the public ever steps on the rides.”
The National Peanut Festival will be open November 1st through the 10th.
