ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WTVY) -- The Alabama State Bureau of Investigation has been called in after two Enterprise police officers fired their weapons during an incident.
The Enterprise Police Department says the officers were called to the Meadowbrook Apartments Thursday morning. Reportedly two men were beating on an apartment door.
EPD says the officers confronted the two men, and one of them had a handgun. The officers fired their weapons.
One of the suspects received a gunshot wound and was later treated and released from the hospital. The officers involved were not injured.
EPD detectives arrested and charged Jovawn Zantaza Doster, age 20, of Enterprise, AL and Zavier Tyrel Greenwood, age 20, of Enterprise, AL with Attempted Burglary 1st degree.
Doster and Greenwood are being held at the Coffee County Jail.
EPD called in the State Bureau of Investigation to take over the officer-involved shooting investigation.
The officers have been put on administrative leave according to EPD policy.
SBI is also investigating another Wiregrass officer involved shooting. Early Thursday morning a Dale County Sheriff's deputy reportedly shot and killed a suspect that fled from a traffic stop.
