ENTERPRISE (WTVY) -- A longtime ally of Roy Moore is challenging U.S. Represenative Martha Roby for Congress.
Rich Hobson announced his candidacy twice in the same day --- in Montgomery and Enterprise.
A Coffee County native, Hobson recently managed Moore's unsuccessful bid for the U.S. Senate.
Previously he was administrator of Alabama's court system.
Hobson's conservative political views mirror those Moore.
He said "Because of the way the nation is, all of the confrontations that we have met and the way that our society seems to be heading. So with that in mind, I know my experience as a leader around Alabama...and different things I've done in the community, and different things I've done for the state of Alabama, I wanted to get in there and be able to do my part."
Hobson is a Republican candidate for the 2nd Congressional District.
Besides Roby---State Representative, Barry Moore of Enterprise and Tommy Amason of Autauga County are also running.
