Resurfacing project on U.S. Highway 431 in Headland to begin Thursday

On Thursday, March 12, weather permitting, an Alabama Department of Transportation resurfacing project on U.S. Highway 431 in Headland, will begin.

The project on U.S. Highway 431 from Alabama Highway 173 to County Road 18 will include resurfacing and guardrail installation.

Motorists are advised to plan accordingly for delays and to be mindful of equipment and people in the work zone.

The project was awarded to MidSouth Paving, Inc., out of Birmingham, Ala., at an approximate cost of $3.2 million. The project is expected to be completed Summer of 2020.
