DOTHAN, Al. (WTVY) The Wiregrass FCA and the Wired Ministries will bring a professional sports and athletic training camp to Dothan. Wednesday, the organizations held a luncheon to announce some of the sports kids can register for, including basketball, baseball, softball and even cheerleading. The training will be done by professionals in their respective fields of competition. The camp is scheduled to start June 26th and will last through the 30th. Nate Patterson, a former Northview High School basketball player, says it's important to incorporate both athletics as well as fellowship.

"We’ll come together; we'll do different drills, whether it's dribbling defensive, also critical thinking as well. It's also important to use the mind so we won’t just be about dribbling the basketball and also we'll incorporate like i said devotionals and also fellowship with one another", said Patterson.

The camp is free but registration is required.
