Power crews prepare for Nestor

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -- With Tropical Storm Nestor moving towards the Wiregrass first responders are paying close attention.

Including area power crews.

Many have spent time since Hurricane Michael last year, preparing for the next hurricane or tropical storm.

Wiregrass Electric officials don't expect any issues but are prepared.

Chief Operating Officer Brad Kimbro, says, "We're expecting the 35 to 45 mile-per-hour gusts, but if there are outages -- we'll be ready and we'll respond."

If you do experience any issues at your home you are asked to give your power service a call.
