Dothan (WTVY)-- A man faces robbery charges following the holdup of a Dothan fast food restaurant. Officers captured 40-year old Carlos Blocker shortly after the holdup Tuesday.

“We believe Mr. Blocker walked into the Subway on East Main shortly after 8 a.m. He threatened the clerk who believed him to have a gun, then took cash and ran out the back door of the business,” Dothan Police Lieutenant Lynn Watkins told WTVY.

Officers found Blocker walking along Kelly Drive, about a half mile north of the restaurant. They took him into custody without incident.

This is the second robbery in Dothan within a few hours. A South Oates Street cash advance business was targeted Monday and Blocker has not been ruled out as a suspect, Watkins said.

Police are working to determine if the two crimes are related.

Records show Blocker had several arrests in the 1990's but none since.
