PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG) -- Once closed in order to cut off traffic in a Panama City Beach hot spot, South Pier Park Drive is scheduled to open back up Monday, April 22.
In March, Panama City Beach Mayor Mike Thomas made a motion to close off the road to vehicular traffic, which was approved by the Panama City Beach City Council.
The approval came after he cited concerns over rowdy spring breakers.
The stretch spanning from Front Beach Road to Dave & Buster's was closed March 29th.
Pier Park representatives said in a previous statement a similar plan was implemented last year.
