Alcohol was likely a factor in Tuesday’s deadly crash in Ozark.
It happened on Mixon School Road just before 5:00 p.m.
Jynelle Cox, 59, of Ariton, was pronounced dead at the scene. The car's driver had to be extracted using the jaws of life. He was taken to a Dothan hospital in critical condition. Another passenger was also taken to the hospital.
The Dale County District Attorney's office will determine whether to file charges.

A single-vehicle crash in Ozark has killed one.
It happened on Mixon School Road, south of Deese Road.
The car left the road and struck a tree.
Two others were injured, one being serious.
The identification of the person killed has not been released.
Officials are waiting until the next of kin is notified.
