Ozark's Community Pool now open for summer

OZARK, Ala. (WTVY) -- Ozark's new city pool opened Thursday afternoon, just in time for summer.

The pool was completed late last season, but this is the first full year for the community pool.
Hours now will be limited until the summer schedule begins Memorial Day weekend.
Lifeguards will be offering swimming programs and lessons a few times each week.
But, the pool is not just for Ozark residents.

"You can come see us wherever you're at. So we're just super excited to be able to offer this. It's been a long time since Ozark's had a pool. Some people in this community don't necessarily want to drive all the way to Dothan to go swimming. So we're super excited about it," said Aquatics Director Courtney Ganz.

Admission to the pool is $2 per person during the week and $3 a person on weekends.
