A woman died and three people were injured when a pickup truck ran off Henry County Highway 12 and overturned on August 25, 2017.

A single-vehicle crash at 9:10 a.m. today, Aug. 25, claimed one life and injured three others. Shannon Marie Sharbuno, 29, of Cocoa, Fla., was killed when the 2001 Ford Ranger in which she was a passenger left the roadway and overturned. Sharbuno, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and two passengers were injured and transported to South East Medical Center in Dothan. The crash occurred on Henry County 12, approximately ten miles east of Headland. Although circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation, speed is believed to be a factor. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
A woman was killed and three others, including two children, injured when the pickup truck they were riding in left a rural roadway Friday in Henry County and overturned.

Coroner Derek Wright said Marie Shannon Sharbunok, of Columbia 29, died from injuries she suffered. The man and children—ages 11-months and five years---sustained what Wright believes are non-life threatening injuries. They were taken to a hospital for treatment.

The truck left the roadway along County Road 12 west of Highway 53 and about three miles east of Tumbleton. Emergency personnel said it appears to have flipped twice.
