UPDATE 2/28/2017 1:33 P.M.

Elba Police have released the victim's name in a fatal Coffee County shooting.

27-year-old Nicholas Tyler Bolling of Andalusia was shot late Monday afternoon at the intersection of Highway 84 and County Road 501. He was pronounced dead at Medical Center Enterprise.

No one has been charged in connection with the incident.

Elba Police Chief Fred Hanchey says the investigation is continuing.


One person has been shot to death in Coffee County.

It happened just before 5:00 p.m. Monday in the Shiloh Community between New Brockton and Elba.

WTVY is told that two people were in a vehicle on Highway 84 when one of them reportedly shot the other with a long gun. The circumstances surrounding the shooting have not been released.

Elba Police are questioning the alleged shooter. No arrests have been made at this time.

Multiple law enforcement agencies are on the scene. WTVY's Mike Gurspan is en route.
