DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -- Holidays can be difficult to celebrate when you don't know where your next meal is coming from.

For Wiregrass seniors, one nursing home is here to support and you can help the mission.

For the ninth year, Westside Terrace is holding its Cornucopia Food Drive to ensure local seniors have groceries this Thanksgiving,

They are asking the community for nonperishable food and monetary donations through November 20th.

Westside Terrace will work with senior centers to find older adults who would not be able to afford a holiday dinner on their own.
"It’s really to be a measure to help and support a lot of our local seniors because food insecurity is a problem across the nation 10 million older adults actually experience food insecurity each year," says Teri Sumbry Westside Terrace’s communication and public relations specialist.

Staff will package and deliver the collected food to seniors' home on November 25th and 26th.
