Niceville school closes due to Coronavirus concerns
A Niceville school announced it is closing the week of March 9 leading up to spring break.
On Facebook, the Rocky Bayou Christian School posted an announcement saying there is a confirmed case of COVID-19 at a local church. They go on to say many Rocky staff and families attend the same church.
Therefore, the school announced it will voluntarily close campuses.
Part of the post reads:
"Your child’s safely is of paramount importance to us and this closure is precautionary only. There have been no reported cases of COVID-19 at either of our campuses. This closure, plus Spring Break, will allow for the 14 day incubation period, as advised by the CDC, to run its course. This decision puts us in the best position to ensure the safety of everyone on our campuses."
As of now, school will resume on Monday, March 23.
