CRESTVIEW, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Survey teams with the National Weather Service in Mobile have determined damage at the Okaloosa Correctional Institution's work camp during a storm Monday night was in fact caused by a tornado.

The EF-0 tornado touched down around 6:15 p.m. Monday five miles south-southeast of Crestview.

Damage pictures from emergency management leaders and radar analysis determined the twister lasted a very brief time but damaged a food services building (Chow Hall) and perimeter fence.

Sheriff's deputies said no inmates or staff members were hurt.
