Music South celebrates 40 years of bringing quality music to the Wiregrass

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -- Bringing quality music to the Wiregrass.

That is what MusicSouth has been doing for the past 40 years, and they want to continue that tradition with three exciting new concerts.

This fall, MusicSouth presents, "Remember When Rock Was Young."

The concert pays tribute to Sir Elton John, and features Craig A. Meyer in the starring role.

Then, just in time for the holidays, Balsam Range hits the stage, with special guests the Atlanta Pops Orchestra and Chloe Agnew.

Finally, MusicSouth rounds out the series with Dallas Brass.

So, what's the secret that's kept Music South going for 4 decades?

"I think it's the variety that we strive to offer,” said Board of Directors Member, Roy Watford.

“For this year, what could be farther away than Dallas Brass and Elton John, for example," Watford said.

Watford added that high school and middle school students from around the Wiregrass, will get a chance to play with Dallas Brass during the winter concert.
